Global Fluid Power Society Ph.D. Symposium, Call for Papers!

The GFPS Ph.D. Symposium 2026 will be held in Aachen from March 9th through 11th, 2026 co-located with the 15th International Conference on Fluid Power (IFK). A separate track of sessions will be dedicated to the GFPS Ph.D. Symposium during the IFK Symposium on the first day of the IFK.
The registration fees for the GFPS Ph.D. Symposium will coincide with those for the IFK Conference. All the GFPS Ph.D. Symposium submissions must follow a peer-review process and must be led (as lead author as well as presenter) by a junior researcher. Accepted papers will be published in the open-access, Scopus indexed conference proceedings. The best GFPS papers, based on the outcome of the review process, will also:
- Considered for a GFPS best paper award announced during the Symposium.
- Be selected (top 5-10 papers) for a dedicated special issue of the International Journal of Fluid Power.
The GFPS Ph.D. symposium is a bi-annual event organized by the Global Fluid Power Society, the world`s largest scientific network of fluid power institutions. The Symposium has a long-lasting tradition for providing a platform for your researchers to discuss cutting edge research in fluid power that dates back 2000 (FPNI Ph.D. Symposium).
Date: Global Fluid Power Society Ph.D. Symposium 2026 will take place in Aachen, Germany, from March 09th to 11th, 2026.

15th International Conference on Fluid Power, Call for Papers!
The RWTH Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems invites you to the 15th International Conference on Fluid Power in Aachen, Germany.
The International Conference on Fluid Power (IFK), one of the world’s largest scientific conferences on fluid power, unites scientists with industry in an international forum to exchange knowledge in the area of hydraulic and pneumatic drives and control systems.
On the first day, the symposium provides a framework for presentations and demonstrations of fundamentals. Primarily, it is meant to provide researchers from universities the opportunity to present their research to a wide international community of scientists. The symposium is, of course, open to all participants of the IFK who are invited to contribute and participate in the discussions as well. The following two days cover a wide variety of application- and technology-oriented topics.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition, where companies dealing with instrumentation, controls or simulation tools have the opportunity to display and demonstrate their novel products and developments. Additionally, the possibility to present new developments in industry and academia in the form of posters will be provided.
Save the Date: 15th International Fluid Power Colloquium will take place in Aachen, Germany, from March 09 to 11, 2026.
